SocialWork@Simmons is the clinically focused online Master of Social Work (MSW) program from the nation’s oldest school of social work. Students can choose to customize their own Individualized Course of Study or follow one of four Certificate Courses of Study: Child and Family, Trauma and Interpersonal Violence, Mental Health and Addictions, and Health and Aging.

SocialWork@Simmons: A Program That Fits Your Schedule

  • Advanced Standing: Students who graduated with a Bachelor's in Social Work have the opportunity to earn their MSW on an expedited track. Advanced standing students complete 37 credits in approximately 16 months.
  • Accelerated Program: An intensive program of study for students able to fully dedicate themselves to their degree. Students complete 65 credits in approximately 16 months.
  • Full-time program: The standard full-time option in which students complete a full-time course load each term. Students complete 65 credits in approximately 23 months.
  • Extended Program: A part-time option allowing students to pace out their studies for a more convenient schedule. Students complete 65 credits in approximately 32 months.
